ABOUT OUR PROGRAM:
Our calendar will follow the Wake County Public School System Traditional calendar for holidays, teacher workdays and inclement weather days.
Our first day of school is Tuesday, September 2nd and out last day is Thursday, May 21st.
Our program runs from 9:00am - 12:30 pm with snack provided. Carpool drop-off and pick up is available for our 3 and 4-year olds.
All Children entering the program must be two, three or four, on or before August 31st .

OUR MISSION:
Sunrise UMC Preschool is an outreach ministry of the church intended to minister to children, their families, and to the community. Our goal is to provide an opti m al learning environment that enables children to grow and learn according to their unique learning styles.
CURRICULUM: We use a combination theme-based and biblical-based curriculum.
For handwriting we use the developmentally based, flexible, and engaging Handwriting Without Tears® program. It is the easiest, most effective way for children to develop good handwriting skills . For more information about this program you can visit www.hwtears.com
We believe that the preschool experience should include activities to promote spiritual, emotional, social, physical, and language development.
We also want to emphasize our commitment to teaching Christian values for the children enrolled in our preschool through Bible stories, songs, prayer and chapel time each week.

Fall 2008 Registration Schedule

In-House: Jan. 24, 2008;
Church: Feb. 3, 2008 @ 10:30am;
Community: Feb 7, 2008, Entry submission is from 9:30-10:00am.
Lottery begins at 10:00am.
Registration will be lottery style.
Those coming for Community Registration are asked to stay until the lottery is processed and all spaces are filled.
Registration Fee:
Due when your child is placed in a class.
Once all spaces are filled, the lottery will continue to create a waiting list.
